Who Are We?
Who is Martha? I was born and raised in Phoenix. We had a happy home with an Irish cultural influence. I became an RN, and went on to get a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in nursing, and then became a Nurse 
Practitioner. I love nursing-it is my dream career as I have always desired to help other people. It has allowed me to learn about so many different types of people and appreciate them.
One of the highlights of my career was being with The Flying Samaritans, a volunteer health organization that flies into remote areas of Mexico to provide free medical care. Currently I am working for a company that allows me a very flexible schedule. We plan to parent a child without using full time daycare.
Who is Walter?
I was born in California and am the oldest of three boys. As a kid, I was active in Little League, soccer, and Boy Scouts, was an altar server at church, and a lot of days were spent at the beach – and since we lived close to Disneyland I looked forward to going there a lot as I was growing up (and I still like going there!)
In high school, I was in the marching band and even played in the Rose Parade. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business. I am currently working for a great local company in the field of property management. I enjoy my work, especially the fact that it allows me to be around people.
I enjoy singing in the church choir, I also like spending time working with a group at church I’m involved with that does food drives for homeless shelters and other charity work.
